New build time!

I've been working on a fire amazon for a while now out of curiousity after seeing how amazingly well Hand of Justice worked on my Hydra sorc. Currently, the zon is in A5 Nightmare, working to finish the difficulty. She's lvl 83 right now.

Firezon

Stats:
Strength: Enough for gear. ~110 should be good.
Dexterity: ~200+, which should be sufficient for most gear.
Vitality: Rest

Skills:
20 Fire Arrow
20 Exploding Arrow
20 Strafe
15 in Valk
5 Penetrate
5 Pierce
1 in all Passives
1 in each prereq
~5 currently in Immo Arrow.

Strafe is the main attack skill. Most of your fire comes from gear choices, which I'll list below.

Gear:
Weapon: HoJ Great Bow
Armor: CoH Wyrmhide
Helm: Blackhorn's Face w/ 15%IAS/9 max jewel
Belt: Wilhelm's Pride
Gloves: Lava Gout
Boots: Gore Rider
Ammy: Mara's, alternates Atma's and Rising Sun
Rings: Raven and Carrion Wind

Charms:
Life and Poison dam. Keep in mind that it's more effective to have life charms than stat charms, as you have have 20 life vs. 2 str or dex on a small charm. Effectively, the 2 str or dex is equivalent to 6 life and is therefore worthless.

Strategy:
I want to point out first that I don't have Bow skill charms or Passive charms, else I'd be using them. Passive charms are far more beneficial to the build.

Ok, so most of the time, I've strafed. This is because of the number of hits that I'm dishing out. With the HF aura and Enchant from Lava Gouts, I'm doing ~200 or so fire damage per hit, along with ~1000 physical damage. My merc is a might merc that needs an equipment upgrade soon and will use Doom, Chains, and Andariel's Visage when he can. The initial reason I chose a Great Bow for the character is because I had a 4 socket superior, but it turns out to be one of the better choices, as you only need 60% IAS to hit 2 frame strafe. That means that you only need 27% outside of the weapon. Lava Gouts give 20%, jewel in Blackhorns gives 15%. w00+. Blade Bows also work well for this and have a lower str req. Both types have -10 base weapon speed.

Blackhorns was a difficult choice to make, but I needed PMH. HoJ doesn't get it, Carrion doesn't get it...I just needed it. The Slow Target is extremely helpful, though, and has begun to really show in my play. Mara's is a debatable piece for me, but I needed both skills and resists. I'd love to find a +2 zon res all ml ammy, but it hasn't happened yet. Wilhelm's fills the mana gap. Gores are mostly for the Open Wounds, but the extra CB and DS are helpful as well. Raven is obvious, CoH is obvious.

What happens, most often, is that I simply run into a situation and start strafing. Monsters stop moving. Anything that gets hit is Blinded and Frozen, then has Twisters thrown at it for good measure. Soon, my merc will have Holy Freeze from Doom, so they'll be even slower. If a group of physical resistant guys groups up, or there is a huge crowd (Like Shenk's area), I switch to Exploding Arrow and spam like crazy. Having a decent pierce percent is critical, and it's pretty easy to get. The 1 point in Pierce has been more than sufficient with +2 skills (which is all I had until just now) and is far better with the +4 that I now have.

What's funny is that this character plays a lot like the Procazon that's been posted recently. When fighting bosses, Atma's is put on in place of Mara's to double the damage output of the team (that is, you, your merc, and your valk). HBT doesn't affect bosses, so there's no worries there.

I've beaten Hell Diablo already with this zon. I've played for ~4.5 hours straight and beaten 4 full acts. I haven't started 5, but 1-4 were cake. Tasty cake, even, as they bumped me up to 83. I've decided against using Immo Arrow and have boosted by Valk, which has been amazing against PI/FI monsters, of which I've run across several. Duriel and Andy were the hardest bosses I've yet to fight, causing me a great deal of grief and potion use. Mephisto was the easiest by far, taking only a mana potion to beat. Diablo was fairly easy and the whole sanc was easy, except that my merc died 2 times to IM. I died once in Hell, and it was a stupidity death. Dang CE/FE goat... On the plus side, I was able to add many Pestilent small charms to my inventory that I had from 1.09, so I now have pretty good poison attached to my arrows (~8 charms, 175 poison a piece).

Update: She whooped Hell Baal. No problems whatsoever. As posterboy said, this build works quite well.

Anyway, this build is great. Virtually no problems have come up in play.
