Usable Kick Attack Properties and Notes:


  • Your kicking speed can be improved by the attack speed of your weapon and primarily of by the claw in your left weapon slot when dual wielding. Although the claw in your right weapon slot when dual wielding also seems to make a small difference so a fast claw in the right slot could speed your kicking speed up a bit.
  • When dual wielding claws the properties on both seem to apply to your kicks, at least in most cases. % cast on attack/strike only use the claw in the left when both have that type of property but if the claw in the left slot does not the one in the right will be applied. There may be other such instances of this but I do not know for certain. If both claws offer leeching though both will apply to your kicks.
  • What you see when you kick and what you see in the character screen do not always match up so it can be hard to tell if all of this is correct with complete certainty.
  • Venom does work with the three kicks even if not properly shown in the character info screen.
  • With Dragon Tail the attack properties only apply to the target you actually attacked, not the ones hit by the fire splash.


      Properties that do work with kicks:
      __any elemental damage
      __% extra gold from monsters
      __% better chance of getting magic items (likely since % extra gold works but can't really tell for certain)
      __Life/Mana steal
      __+Life/Mana after kill
      __Ignore target defence (does not work with anything stronger than regular critters and minions)
      __knock back (see note 4)
      __+attack rating (see note 1)
      __open wounds
      __cause monsters to flee
      __crushing blow
      __blinds target
      __% to cast on attack/strike (see note 2)
      __slows target
      __freezes target
      __prevent monster heal

      Properties that do not work with kicks:
      __deadly strike
      __critical strike
      __+% damage to demons/undead
      __+ Min / Max damage (see note 3)
      __pierce target (not applicable - is not a range attack)



    Notes:
  • 1 - Based on the character screen weapons that add a specific value to your attack rating do not help your kick attack rating while weapons that add a percentage to your attack rating do. Other items that add bonuses to your attack rating all seem to apply their bonuses though.
  • 2 - If you have two claws that give % to cast on attack/strike the one in your left weapon slot will be the only one that seems to get applied with kicks.
  • 3 - While items that add to your min or max damage do not seem to have any effect (that includes War Traveler boots) those that add a general percentage to your damage (not including those on your weapons) do.
  • 4 - Only applies to Dragon Flight as Dragon Talon and Dragon Tail knock back by default.
