I think it kinda depends on how pure you want the build to be...

A fully, 100% synergized poison tree leaves too few points to really split into an additional build which is equally skill point intensive... Hybrids can work very very well, but will not have the same level of poison damage as a poison necro or the same power to their summons as a summoning necro.

If you want a "pure" poison necro, then three parts of trang's are all you need, the others don't add to the poison damage in such a direct way. The gloves and shield are givens as they contain the actual poison mods (both must be 1.10), I personally would go with the belt as an additional item, it has decent mods and the helm and armor slots are too valuble for other items.

Bramble runeword armor with a high percentage added to the poison skill damage is hands down the choice for body armor... if you ARE doing a hybrid build, the thorns aura will also spread to your minions.

The helm could go a few ways depending on how you want to play your build... If you plan on using poison dagger AND don't have many summons, I'd reccomend a Vamp Gaze. Damage reduction, dual leech and some cold damage (slows 'em down, corpses aren't as important) are always great bonuses. If you plan on using Nova as the primary attack, a +2 skills helm (Shako, "Delerium", rare circlets) with mana regeneration or resists are ideal. If you're building a hybrid, consider concentrating on Poison Explosion... it can be cast at the edges of the screen, allowing you to hit monsters along the edges where your minions should be holding most of 'em back.

Weapon again depends on the primary attack... Blackbogs Sharp for poison dagger builds, Deaths Web (I *think* the 1.10 unique wand with enemy poison resist mods and the potential for +4 to P&B skills) for Nova/Explosion builds and Wizardspike on the second weapon set when resists are important, depending on additional equipment.

SOJs and Maras seem to be the standards for jewlery... Dagger builds might consider items which add to Attack Rating, such as Ravenfrosts and Atmas.

Sooo... for a "pure" poison build, if you choose that route, PARTS of Trang's are great, but the full set takes up equipment slots which could be put to better use. Hybrid builds, Trang's is amazing.
